Reserving Practice Fields

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department reserves fields for practices of organzied teams in the following sports: youth baseball, youth softball, girls fast-pitch softball, adult softball and adult kickball.


Teams looking for practice areas for sports NOT listed above are asked to contact the local individual sport's association to get details concerning areas for practice and scheduling.


Reservation Guidelines for Practice Fields
      Reservations will NOT be taken more than one (1) week in advance.
      Teams may reserve multiple practices if they are within one week of the day they are calling.
      Reservations MUST be made at least 24 hours in advance of practice to be scheduled. NO SAME DAY RESERVATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
      Reservations will NOT be taken for fields where games are taking place later the same day.
      Reservations are accepted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays at the Community Building, Holcom Park Recreation Center and East Lawrence Recreation Center. No reservations will be accepted on Sundays.
      Lights will only be provided on Monday through Thursday during the two weeks prior to the start of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, Adult Sports Division's Adult Softball Leagues.
      Practices are only scheduled

   Practice reservations   may only be made for the   following time slots:
8:30 to 10 a.m.
10 to 11:30 a.m.
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
1 to 2:30 p.m.
2:30 to 4 p.m.
4 to 5:30 p.m.
5:30 to 7 p.m.
7 to 8:30 p.m.
8:30 to 10 p.m.
