Friday, September 5, 2008LONG COURSE AVAILABLE FOR LAP SWIMMERS ON UPCOMING WEEKENDS
LAWRENCE – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department has converted the competitive pool at the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr., from the 50-meter long course to the 25-yard short course to accommodate the high school swim season.
Several weekends in September, the pool will be realigned providing the 50-meter long course for those wanting a longer lap swim. Weekends the conversion will be conducted include: Saturday and Sundays, Sept. 13-14; Sept. 20-21 and Sept. 27-28.
The short course will then resume the Monday following each weekend.
