29TH ANNUAL FALL ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL APPROACHING
LAWRENCE – The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Special Events Division is hosting the 29th Annual Fall Arts and Crafts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. The event is free and open to the public.

More than 200 artists and craftspeople from across the region are scheduled to exhibit their work. Food concessions will also be offered.

The festival will include a special performance by the Lawrence City Band in celebration of Lawrence’s 154th anniversary of its founding. There will also be special activities for children, including a moonwalk, train rides and craft booth. In addition, the children’s wading pool will be open if weather is favorable.

Entertainment will also be featured at the William Kelly Bandstand throughout the afternoon. Scheduled to perform are:

12 p.m. – Lawrence City Band – City Birthday Celebration
1 p.m. – Billy Spears & the Beer Bellies
2 p.m. – Lonnie Ray Blues Band
3 p.m. – G-Force
4 p.m. – Billy Ebeling & the Late for Dinner Band
