LAWRENCE-Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department and First Serve Tennis are teaming up to bring Lawrence the biggest tennis block party ever.
The Tennis Block Party is a community activity, demonstrating and exposing new and existing players to the health and social benefits of tennis.
The Tennis Block Party will take place at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at First Serve, 5200 Clinton Parkway. The party will feature two hours of tennis instruction, interactive games and attractions including a moonwalk, offering people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to enjoy tennis.
Door prizes and equipment demonstrations will also take place during the event.
This event is free and open to the public. The Tennis Block Party will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the First Serve Tennis facility.
