NASH DASH TO BENEFIT YOUTH OF LAWRENCE
LAWRENCE -Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department along with the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center are teaming up again to host the 6th annual Nash Dash Fun Run/Walk.

The Nash Dash is being held Saturday, May 12, starting and ending at the Union Pacific Depot, 402 N. 2nd St. It is open to children in kindergarten through 12th grade and adults. Cost is $10 for children and $15 for adults. There is also a rate for families of $50 per family. The 5K fun run and 5K walk will start at 8 a.m. followed by a 1-mile walk at 8:30 a.m.

Funds raised will benefit the WRAP Program, which places mental health professionals from the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center in schools in Baldwin City, Eudora and Lawrence. Donations will also benefit the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's Wee Folks Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to youth to participate in department programs and activities.

The Nash Dash is sponsored by the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center and Lawrence Parks and Recreation.
