Wednesday, June 11, 2008REMINDER: CHINESE ACROBATS PERFORM TWICE TODAY
LAWRENCE – The summer season doesn’t officially start until later this month, but Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is kicking off the season with high-flying fun as the Fabulous Chinese Acrobats will perform twice today in historic South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. The performances are free and open to the public.
The team of acrobats will perform at 1 p.m. on the west side of South Park, north of the South Park Recreation Center and then again at 6:30 p.m. on the east side of South Park, southwest of the William Kelly Bandstand, prior to the City Band Concert at 8 p.m. Both performances are free and open to the public.
The Chinese acrobats just finished a year-long, national school tour and will be returning to China later this month.
