Monday, June 30, 2008LAWRENCE CITY BAND TO PERFORM WEDNESDAY
LAWRENCE- Lawrence City Band continues its summer concert series at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at historic South Park's William Kelly Bandstand, 1141 Massachusetts St. The concert is free and open to the public.
The band will perform A Star-Spangled Spectacular.
Sponsored by Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department and the Rice Foundation, the city band presents a concert at 8 p.m. every Wednesday night through July 16 at South Park.
The following is the band’s remaining summer concert schedule:
- July 9 – From Kansas City to New York to Vienna and Russia
- July 16 – Season Finale
Including the 1812 Overture and Stars and Stripes Forever
The band is conducted by Robert E. Foster.
