Wednesday, June 25, 2008LAWRENCE CITY BAND TO PERFORM TONIGHT
LAWRENCE- The Lawrence City Band continues its summer concert series at 8 p.m. tonight at historic South Park’s William Kelly Bandstand, 1141 Massachusetts St. The concert is free and open to the public.
The band will perform its Annual Children's Concert.
Sponsored by Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department and the Rice Foundation, the city band presents a concert at 8 p.m. every Wednesday night through July 16 at South Park.
The following is the band’s remaining summer concert schedule:
- July 2 – A Star-Spangled Spectacular
- July 9 – From Kansas City to New York to Vienna and Russia
- July 16 – Season Finale
Including the 1812 Overture and Stars and Stripes Forever
The band is conducted by Robert E. Foster.
