LAWRENCE – LAWRENCE – Cue The Theme from Jaws. Da . . . da! Da . . . da! This time the water is safe and will provide an atmosphere of fun as Lawrence youth are provided an opportunity to have a night away from their parents at the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department Outdoor Aquatic Center’s Kid’s Night Out: Shark Attack! program from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16.
The program includes games, prizes and pizza. It will be held at the Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Kentucky St. Children will be supervised by Outdoor Aquatic Center staff. Pre-registration is required.
The deadline to register for Kid’s Night Out: Shark Attack! is Thursday, June 14. A $12 fee must be paid at the time of registration. All activities and refreshments are included in the fee.
Registration for the class can be done online at www.lprd.org or by visiting any Parks and Recreation facility including: the Community Building, 115 West 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr.; Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center; Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St.; the Administrative Offices, 947 New Hampshire St. or South Park Recreation Center, 1141 Massachusetts St.
