LIFEGUARD GAMES TO CHALLENGE STATE'S LIFEGUARDS
LAWRENCE - Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's Aquatic Division is hosting Lifeguard Games 9 a.m.-noon, Sunday, July 20, at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Kentucky St.

Teams from Derby, Hutchinson, Baldwin, Johnson County and Lawrence will compete in a variety of team and individual events. From CPR to water rescues, awards will go to the fastest and most accurate responders. In addition, a traveling trophy will be awarded to the top team.

The event is free and open to the public.

Lifeguard Games is an excellent opportunity to reinforce lifeguarding skills and build teamwork while participating in a safe and fun environment.

This is the second year of the competition.
