BROWN BAG AND CITY BAND CONCERTS NEAR END OF SERIES
There are only two chances left to catch Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's summer concert series. Both will continue this week with performances by the Lawrence City Band and Lonnie Ray Blues Band.

The Lawrence City Band Summer Concert Series will continue at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the William Kelly Bandstand located in historic South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. This week the band will perform 76 Trombones, and the Music Man.

The Lonnie Ray Blues Band will perform in the Brown Bag Concert Series at 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, in front of U.S. Bank, 900 Massachusetts St. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at Watkins Community Museum, 1047 Massachusetts St.

Both of these concerts are free and open to the public.

The final Brown Bag and City Band concerts will be held next week, July 18 and 19.
