Wednesday, January 14, 2009PILATES AND INDOOR CYCLING CERTIFICATION CLASSES TO BE OFFERED
LAWRENCE- Learn to be a Pilates or indoor cycling instructor at an upcoming FITOUR certification workshop. Primary Pilates Certification and Indoor Cycling Certification classes will be held at the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.
Participants in Primary Pilates Certification, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, will receive instruction on the history, benefits and the six principles of Pilates, as well as the anatomy involved in class formats for beginning, intermediate and advanced students.
The curriculum for Indoor Cycling Certification, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, will cover the benefits of indoor cycling, equipment set up and safety, effective cycling exercises and techniques, interval and circuit training, teaching methods, music selection and more.
Both classes are approved for continuing education credit. The cost is $99 prior to the 14 day deadline, $129 after the deadline and $149 at the door. There is an additional shipping and handling charge for the class manual.
