Friday, February 6, 2009SWIM SPACE LIMITED AT AQUATIC CENTER DURING WEEKEND MEET
LAWRENCE – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Aquatic Division will maintain normal public lap swim hours Saturday, Feb. 14, and Sunday, Feb. 15; although space will be limited in the competition pool due to a swim meet.
The Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr., will host the Mid-America League Championships, sponsored by the Lawrence Aquahawks, throughout the weekend. A number of local Kansas swim clubs are scheduled to compete.
Admission to the Mid-America League Championships is free and open to the public.
Lap swimming in the competition pool during the meet will be open Saturday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m.–7:45 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 15 from 1-5:45 p.m.
In addition to lap swimming, the Waterslide and Diving Area and the Zero-Depth and Children’s Area will remain open for their regular hours during the meet.
