SPIN CLASS DEMONSTRATIONS TO BE HELD
LAWRENCE – Due to popularity, Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will hold additional free Spin class demonstrations for those interested in trying out this new class. Demonstration participants must be 16 years old and older. The demonstrations will take place in the spinning room of the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.

The dates and times for the free demonstrations are as follows:

Tuesday, Feb. 24 – 7-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 26 – 7-7:30 p.m.
Monday, March 2 – 10:15-10:45 a.m.
Tuesday, March 3 – 1-1:30 p.m. (geared for Seniors)
Wednesday, March 4 – 10:15-10:45 a.m.
Friday, March 6 – 10:15-10:45 a.m.
Friday, March 6 – Noon -12:30 p.m. (geared for Seniors)
Saturday, March 7– 10-10:30 a.m.
Sunday, March 8 – 1-1:30 p.m.

A typical Spin class is comprised of an instructor leading a group of participants on stationary exercise bicycles through a low impact, cardiovascular workout of varying intensity. The workout includes climbs, sprints, hill training and up-tempo cadences. Participants adjust the amount of resistance on their pedals to tailor the workout to their individual abilities.

Only 10 workout bicycles are available for participants during each demonstration. Those interested should sign up as soon as possible. Participants will need to sign a waiver upon arrival to the demonstration.
