Friday, December 14, 2007SPECIAL POPULATIONS INVITES COMMUNITY TO "BE THEIR GUEST"
LAWRENCE - Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, Special Populations Division's Acting 101 class will perform Beauty and the Beast at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, at Central Junior High School, 1400 Massachusetts St. The performance is free and open to the public.
The class has met to rehearse once a week for the last nine weeks. Previous productions include The Lion King, Footloose and The Wizard of Oz.
Acting 101 is taught by Angela Harris and Sally Trujillo, and costumes are provided by Gail Gauthier and Kent Nelson of the Strive Group's Rock Island Display Division.
