LAWRENCE – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Outdoor Aquatic Center hours will be changed beginning Monday, Aug. 18.
The hours for Aug. 18 – Sept. 1 will be as follows:
Monday through Thursday – Closed
Fridays – 4 to 8:45 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays – 1 to 8:45 p.m.
Morning lap swimming will still be available from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. through Aug. 23.
The Outdoor Aquatic Center, located at 727 Kentucky St., will be open from 4 to 8:45 p.m. today, Aug. 15, and from 1 to 8:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 16 and 17.
The last day to swim at the Outdoor Aquatic Center is Monday, Sept. 1. The Pooch Plunge will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, before the pool closes for the season. Pre-registration is required to attend the event.
The Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr., will reopen Monday, Aug. 18. Its fall hours are available on the Parks and Recreation Website, www.lprd.org.
