LAWRENCE – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Eagle Bend Golf Course and Learning Center is offering golf group lessons for adults and a two-day camp for youth next week.
Adult group lessons are being offered for both beginners and intermediate golfers. Classes meet from 6 to 7 p.m.once a week for four weeks at Eagle Bend. The fee for the lessons is $100.
Beginning golf classes are offered Tuesdays, Sept. 4 – 25, or Thursdays, Sept. 6 – 27. Advanced golf classes run Wednesdays, Sept. 5 -26.
There is also a two-day youth camp for children ages 11 to 17 for both beginners and advanced golfers. Camps run from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 5–6 and Sept. 19-20 at Eagle Bend. Cost of the camp is $60 for each session.
Enrollment in golf lessons and the camp can be conducted through the department’s website, www.lprd.org, as part of its online registration program, or individuals can visit a Lawrence Parks and Recreation facility, including: the Community Building, 115 West 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr.; Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St., South Park Recreation Center, 1141 Massachusetts St. or Eagle Bend Golf Course, 1250 East 902 Road.
