Friday, August 31, 200728TH ANNUAL FALL ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL TO BE HELD
LAWRENCE – The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Special Events Division is hosting the 28th annual Fall Arts and Crafts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, at South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. The event is free and open to the public.
Artists and craftsmen from across the region are scheduled to exhibit their work.
There will also be special activities for children, including a moonwalk and train rides. In addition, the children’s wading pool will be open if weather is favorable.
Musicians will also be performing on the William Kelly Bandstand throughout the afternoon. Scheduled to perform are:
12 p.m. - Billy Spears & the Beer Bellies
1 p.m. - Lonnie Ray Blues Band
2 p.m. - Billy Ebeling & the Late for Dinner Band
3 p.m. - Two Much Fun
4 p.m. - The Konza Swamp Band
