LAWRENCE – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will hold a job fair from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, April 19, in the Tom Wilkerson Room at the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr.
Parks and Recreation hires several hundred seasonal staff every year to support its summer programming. Job benefits include good pay, flexible scheduling and working outdoors. Many positions are ideal for teachers and both college and high school students.
Job information will be provided for all of the department’s summer positions which have not been filled, including lifeguards, bus drivers, gymnastics instructors, camp counselors and maintenance.
Some positions have certification or experience requirements. Laptops will be available on-site for those who wish to apply. Those wishing to apply for other available city jobs will be able to online.
