Friday, April 25, 2008TENNIS BLOCK PARTY TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT THE GAME
LAWRENCE – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, the United States Tennis Association and First Serve will hold a Tennis Block Party from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Lawrence Tennis Center, 21st and Virginia Sts.
The Tennis Block Party is free and open to all ages and abilities.
The block party is an opportunity for individuals to learn the basics of tennis, as well as the social and health benefits of the game. The session will feature tennis instruction, interactive games and other attractions.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to First Serve, 5200 Clinton Parkway.
